Rita F. Allen, 54, of Fremont, passed away on Monday, Sept. 11, 2017 at ProMedica Ebeid Hospice of Sylvania. She was born on Aug. 5, 1963 in Crossville, TN, to Ray & Thelma (Bohannon) Tucker.
As a 1981 graduate of Fremont Ross, Vanguard Vocational, Rita found her calling helping and caring for people. She worked at Parkview Nursing Home in Fremont for a few years and found her home at the Sandusky County Board of Developmental Delays where she provided help with students and being a teaching assistant.
Rita was a member of Grace Community Church, Fremont and the Sandusky County YMCA where she volunteered and enjoyed playing BINGO. She looked forward to casino trips and going to Red Lobster. She’ll be remembered for her sense of humor and enjoying to laugh, even if it was at herself.
Surviving is her son, Nathan Allen at home; her parents, Ray Tucker & Thelma McMillen of Fremont; siblings, Randall Sr. (Tana) Tucker of Parma, Michael (Susan) Tucker of Oak Harbor and Tony (Karen) Tucker of Helena and many nieces and nephews that she consider her children, too.
Rita is preceded in death by her brother, Stevie Charles Tucker.
Visitation will be held Friday, Sept. 15, 2017, 9-11 a.m., at Grace Community Church where Funeral Services will begin at 11 a.m. Pastor Forrest Kirchenbauer will officiate. Burial will follow at York Chapel Cemetery, Bellevue.
