Va Beach - Elizabeth "Betty" A. Blankenship passed away Monday, September 11, 2017.
Betty is survived by her children, Lisa Blankenship, John Blankenship, Linda Barron, Carey Hicks, Catherine Doty, James Blankenship, and Richard Perkins; ten grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren.
Betty was a Navy Veteran and a Virginia Beach Hospice Volunteer, receiving the Hospice Volunteer of the Year Award in 1994.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, Sept. 16, 2017, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Lynnhaven Chapel. Burial will be at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations are made to the Virginia Hospice Veterans Partnership at www.WeHonorVeterans.org/Support-Our-Work. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.hollomon-brown.com
