"Miles Quant, aged 91, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Edwin Petteys, Aug. 24. He had been in failing health for some time. He was born Feb. 22, 1842, and was a farmer near Amsterdam most of his life. The funeral was held from the Baptist church Saturday at 1 o'clock, Rev. Dempster of Minaville officiating. Interment was at Tribes Hill. He is survived by one son, Lauren Quant of Mill Point, three daughters, Mrs. Edwin Petteys of Sloansville, Mrs. Howard Hughes of Johnstown and Mrs. Pearl Going of Red Bank, N.
