Obituary for Lowrey Kenneth Jones
Lowrey Kenneth Jones passed away on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at the age of 85. He was born on December 5, 1931 in New Orleans, Louisiana. Son of the late Lowrey and Vera Jones of McComb, Mississippi. He is also preceded in death by his brothers, Allen and Merlin Jones of McComb, Mississippi.

Kenneth devoted his life to working for the Government. He was a hospital Corpsman in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He worked for the United States G.A.O. Office, NASA at Michoud and managed the Louisiana Department of Energy until it was closed by President Jimmy Carter. He then retired and he and Vera moved to Mandeville, Louisiana.

He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Vera Mae Whittington Jones; his daughters, Linda Eberle (Ed), Sharon Martin (Michael), and grandsons, Edmond and Gabriel Eberle and Collin and Davis Martin, as well as nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the graveside service in Hollywood Cemetery in McComb, MS on Saturday, September 16, 2017. Visitation at 1:30 p.m. Service at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Mr. Jones to be made to Lakeshore High School Titan Touchdown Club P.O.
