Robert E. Foust, 90, of Danville passed away on Sunday, Sept. 10, 2017, at Mountain View Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Coal Township.
He was born on Feb. 20, 1927, in Danville, a son of the late Arthur and Blanche (Paugh) Foust. Bob served in the U.S. Army Air Corps and received a World War II Victory Medal.
He married Gertrude Hoover, sharing 64 loving years together.
Robert worked for Kennedy Van Saun as a tool and die maker for more than 45 years and, later, served as the VP of construction for the Barbarich Group.
He was a member of St. Paul’s Emmanuel United Methodist Church, as well as the Moose, American Legion and Elks. He loved to golf, bowl and go fishing.
In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by siblings: Donald Foust and Lois Stimeling.
He is survived by his wife, Gertrude Foust, of Danville; children: Robert Foust of Danville, and Carol Barbarich and husband, Jim, of Danville; and grandchildren: Jamie, Jim and Kristen; as well as five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will take place at 1 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 15, 2017, at Brady Funeral Home, 320 Church St., Danville, with his pastor, the Rev. Gregory L. Molter, officiating. A viewing will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Elan Memorial Park in Bloomsburg.
