Ms. Helen Montez Wray, age 73, of Chapel Hill, TN, died Monday, September 11, 2017 at her residence. She was a native of Marshall County, TN and the daughter of Clarence B. and Ethel Johnson Wray. Ms. Wray was a member of Mount Vernon Missionary Baptist Church and was retired from International Comfort Products.
Ms. Wray was preceded in death by her parents, her five brothers, three sisters and nephew, Terry Wray.
Ms. Wray is survived by her children, Tammy McAdoo of Smyrna, TN, Leann Hayes of Smyrna, TN, and Tommy Wray of Chapel Hill, TN; brother, William D. “Bubba” Wray of Lewisburg, TN; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren.
Visitation with the family will be held Friday, September 15, 2017 from 4 PM until 8 PM at Lawrence Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be conducted on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 1 PM at Lawrence Funeral Home with Pastor Michael T. James Officiating. The body will lie in state from 12 Noon until 1 PM at the funeral home.
Interment will follow at Egypt Cemetery near Chapel Hill, TN.
