Taulbee "Tommy" Davis, age 77 years, passed away on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at Highland Home, in Ridgeland, MS.
He was born on February 15, 1940 in Dwale, Kentucky. He retired from the U.S. Air Force as a Technical Sergeant. He also retired from Civil Service at Keesler Air Force Base. He was an active member and helped spearhead the bus ministry, of the former First Baptist Church of D'Iberville.He was a very generous and loving father and grandfather. He loved to fish and go back "home" to Kentucky to visit family. Most of all he loved his three grandchildren and always took time to tell everyone, and brag on them. He enjoyed crossword puzzles, loved jokes, riddles and playing checkers.
He is preceded in death by his spouse, Mary Elizabeth Davis; parents, Mansford and Vinnie Davis; siblings, Eugene Davis, Ernestine Clay, Elmer Davis, Harold Davis and Johnny Davis.
Survivors include his son, Gary R. Davis, grandchildren, Stephanie Lynn Davis, Garrett Mansford Davis and Jacob Arthur Davis; siblings, Irene (Clarence) Stephens, Eugene (Stella) Davis, Mary (Charles) Clay, Ernestine (Tom) Clay, Loretta (James) Robinson, James (Sue) Davis, Clarence (Linda) Davis, Harold (Judy) Davis, Delbert (Diane) Davis, Phoebe (Mickey) Sowards, Richard (Judy) Davis, and William (Martha) Davis; and his special friend of 20 years, Betty Hanna.
Service will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 1pm at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home. Family may visit from 11-12pm, and friends from 12-1pm. Burial will follow in D'Iberville Memorial Park.
