Jeffery Marks entered into eternal rest on Friday afternoon, September 8, 2017. He was born September 11, 1964 to Joseph J. Marks and Mary Lou Marks in Houston, TX. His church was Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church where he was baptized, made his first Communion and was confirmed. He graduated from Furr Senior High School and attended college and played collegiate basketball at Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, TX.

To know Jeff was to know laughter and joy. Jeff was a fun-loving person who enjoyed the simple things in life like cooking, basketball, football, listening to music, dominos, cards and spending time with family and friends.

Jeffery was especially passionate about others with cancer, and spent time giving words of encouragement and advice on what they could expect and how to maintain a positive outlook.

He is preceded in death by his wife Cynthia Marks, and his brother Gregory Marks.

He is survived by his parents, Joseph J. and Mary Lou Marks, his sister Charmaine Marks, his brother Jason V. Marks, his nephew, Jerome Marks and his nieces Keyana Carr and Jayda Marks.

Jeffery Marks departed this life September 8, 2017. Visitation Saturday September 16, 2017 at 8am. Rosary 9am. Funeral Mass 10am. Services will be held at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church 1401 Fidelity Rd. Interment will take Place at Brookside Memorial Park. Ross Mortuary in charge of arrangements.
