Sharon D. Rohr, 75, of Pickrell died in a Lincoln hospital on Sunday, September 10, 2017. She was born October 5, 1940 at Seward and at a young age moved to Chicago with her family. They returned to Garland and then moved to Beatrice where she worked at Beatrice Good Samaritan Center as a nurse aide. She married Keith Carpenter on April 5, 1958 and he died in 1992. She married Keith A. Rohr on October 16, 1993 at the Tabernacle in Chautauqua Park in Beatrice. She also worked at the Pickrell Sports Bar. She enjoyed making ceramics, collecting angels, camping and was also involved in a book reading club.
Survivors include one son, Brian Carpenter of Beatrice; one daughter, Debra (John) Lampe of Beatrice; one step-son, Michael (Krista Tushar-Rohr) Rohr of Highland Ranch, CO; one step-daughter, Rachelle (Richard) Elliott of Wymore; one grandchild; three great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandsons; two brothers, Wayne (Janette) Zimmerman of Lewiston and William (Joyce) Zimmerman of Grand Island; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Berenice Morgan Zimmerman; her first husband, her second husband, Keith Rohr, who died December 6, 2013; one brother, Harold Zimmerman and wife Sheri; one step-granddaughter, Desire' Elliott; one nephew, Kevin Zimmerman.
Funeral services will be held at Friday, September 15, 2017 at 1:30 P.M. at Fox Funeral Home of Beatrice with Rev. David A. Bigley officiating. Cremation will follow the services. A memorial has been established to the family's choice.
