Elmer Howard Annis, 83, of Twin Falls, formerly of Filer, died Wednesday, Dec. 8, 1999, at SunBridge Care Center. He was born Oct. 10, 1916, in Twin Falls, the son of Elmer and Lela Clampitt Annis. He was reared and educated in Twin Falls, graduating from Twin Falls High School in 1935. On March 21, 1943, he married Emma Marsh in Rupert. Mr. Annis farmed in Twin Falls and Filer for many years. He was a member of the Filer United Methodist Church, and the Farm Bureau. In addition to farming, he enjoyed macrame, making craft items out of wood, and his cabin near Redfish Lake. He is survived by Emma, his wife of 56 years; four children, Larry Karen Annis, of Scottsdale, Az., Steve Mary Annis of Boise, David Karlee of Filer, and Kris Stan Ferlic of Twin Falls; four granddaughters; two brothers, Wayne Annis, of Minnesota, and Clyde Annis, of Rupert; and three sisters, Elsie Marsh of Burley, Norene Davis of Texas, and Mona Dodd, of Twin Falls. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers. Funeral services for Howard Annis will be conducted at 1 p.m., Monday, Dec. 13, 1999, at White Mortuary Chapel, with the Rev. Sandra Kimbrow officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. Friends may call at White Mortuary on Sunday, Dec. 12, 1999, from 4-8 p.m. The family suggests memorials to the Shriner's Hospital for Crippled Children, Memorial Fund-Intermountain Unit, Fairfax Ave. at Virginia, Salt Lake City, Utah 84103, or to the Idaho Special Olympics, 1525 Addison Ave. E., Twin Falls, Idaho 83301.
