William Thomas Ratliff, Jr. (Bill), age 61, of Knoxville, former owner of Tennessee Asphalt Co. and a man known for his gift of generosity, went to be with the Lord on September 9, 2017 following a brief illness.
He was a 1978 graduate of the University of Tennessee.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Thomas Ratliff, Sr. and Irene Napier Ratliff.
He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Marianne Thompson Ratliff; son, William Thomas (Britt) Ratliff, III and wife Emily Canady Ratliff; daughter, K.C. Ratliff Schwartz and husband Tyler Jackson Schwartz; grandson, William Thomas (T) Ratliff, IV; sister, Donna Ratliff McAllister and a host of other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 5-8:00 pm Thursday, September 14, 2017 at ROSE MORTUARY BROADWAY CHAPEL.
Family and friends will meet at 9:45 am September 15, 2017 at Greenwood Cemetery for a 10:00 am graveside service with Rev. C.H. Qualls officiating.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hope Resource Center 2700 Painter Avenue, Knoxville, TN 37919 or to the charity of your choice.
