enlisted 3 Feb 1942 in US Air Corps at Rutland, VT. Was a single machinist, with 3 years of high schooling. Height 71 inches, weight 173 pounds. Had previously (1940 census) been living with mother and stepfather at West Burke, VT.

22 June 1944 Burlington Free Press article: his mother Mrs. Lauris Parker Gray donated a substantial gift to Brightlook Hospital for a "free bed for children at the hospital." Item stated his Memorial Service was held at the South Congregational Church, of which he was a member.
