HURST--James "Jim" McGehee, 83, of Hurst, Texas, passed away Saturday, Sept. 9, 2017. FUNERAL: 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2017, at St. John the Apostle Church in North Richland Hills, Texas. Interment follows in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park, 5725 Colleyville Blvd., Colleyville, Texas. Visitation: 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2017, at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home in Colleyville. Jim was born May 14, 1934, in Gainesville, Texas, to Ira and Cecil Mae Beeler McGehee. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War where he met his beloved wife, Marlene, at a dance in Washington, D.C. Jim traveled the world with work and was known for his ability to fix anything especially computers and electronic devices. Jim was preceded in death by his wife; his daughter, Diane Ducote; his parents; his stepmother, Rhoda Harvill; and his sister, Betty Greer. SURVIVORS: Jim, or as his grandchildren call him "Pappy," is survived by his son, Doug McGehee and wife, Natalie; his youngest daughter, Deirdre Marek James and her husband, Rob; his sister, Dorothy Lawson; his seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
