Samuel Jacob Catlett, 81, of Booneville, Arkansas, Passed away Friday, January 13, 2017 at his home in Booneville. He was born September 4, 1935 on Sugar Creek near Booneville to William and Ruth Mae Catlett.
Sam was a retired certified welder and a member of the First Baptist Church of Booneville.
Sam was preceded in death by his parents before mentioned and brothers Hubert, Charles, Claude, Roger, Carl, Arthur, Jennings and Bryan; sisters Ruth and Dimple.
Graveside Services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 16, 2017 at Bud Davis Cemetery near Booneville. Services will be under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home of Booneville.
Sam is survived by his wife of 59 years Betty June Catlett; Daughters, Katheryn Williams and husband Tom of Mascot, Florida; Patricia Christian and husband Scott of Booneville, Tracy Rogers and husband Christopher of Booneville; Sons, Randy Catlett and wife Pamela of Arora, Colorado, Donald Catlett of Booneville. Thirteen Grandchildren, Seventeen Great Grandchildren and Three Great Great Grandchildren. Brothers, Phillip Catlett of Gardin, Missouri, Albert Catlett and Linda Trube of Silvia, Missouri; Sisters, Margaret Parcus and husband Larry of Elsinore, Missouri; Dede Rymer and husband Doral of VanBuren, Missouri; Nita Cooper and husband Roger of Missouri and a large host of nieces and nephews and friends.
Pallbearers: David Hogan, Dale Sharpe, Larry Maness, Nicholas Massey, Chris Blakenship, Michael White.
