Glenn D. Bailey passed away on November 3, 2016. He was born on April 11, 1953 in Fulton, NY, the son of Glen and Elsie Bailey. He graduated from Fulton High School and went on to earn a computer engineering degrees from SUNY Canton, R.I.T., and Binghamton University. Over the past 40 years he has held various positions in computer engineering at Remington Arms, SCM, IBM, Ensco, Lockheed Martin, and BAE. Glenn was predeceased by his parents and various aunts and uncles. He is survived by his wife, Peggy, his daughter Brianna (Sarah), his stepchildren Mel (Chris), Sue (Matt), and Joe (Lynn). Grandpa Glenn will be especially missed by his special grandkids Ben and Ian Gilbert, Oliver Morgan, and Makenzie Gilbert. He is also survived by his brother Dan and nephew Derek, as well as cousins in the Oswego area. Glenn enjoyed cooking, and his great meals will be missed by everyone who passed through his kitchen. He also loved spending time with family, traveling, playing D & D, "wing night" with some special friends, and woodworking. Services will be held at the Smith Funeral Home in DeRuyter, NY on Friday, November 11, 2016 at 1pm. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, DeRuyter. Calling hours will be Friday from 11am to 1pm at the Funeral Home. Contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Binghamton, 2 Jackson St., Binghamton, NY 13903.
