Billie was born in Eau Claire on July 9, 1933, daughter of Melvin and Pauline (Rosner) Stevens. Billie grew up on the west side of Eau Claire and lived a very happy childhood. She graduated from Eau Claire High School with the Class of 1952.
Billie married Lyle H. Hubbard on June 23, 1956, they were happily married for 60 years. Being a great housewife and a loving mother, Billie would always put her family first. She was known as a very kind and sweet woman by everyone who knew her. Billie was extremely devoted to her family and enjoyed spending time with her two grandchildren.
Billie had volunteered at Luther Hospital for 20 years, working at the front desk. She had enjoyed the art of painting ceramics and also was an avid baker. Billie was a devoted Catholic, being a member of St. Olaf Catholic Church in Eau Claire. Billie and Lyle were members of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #1408, which they enjoyed.
Billie is survived by her beloved family and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, September 12, 2017, at St. Olaf Catholic Church, 3220 Monroe Street in Eau Claire, with Father Paul Hoffman officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the Mass at the church. Burial will be in Prairie View Cemetery in the Village of Lake Hallie. Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral & Cremation Services is serving her family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
