Harriet L. Puterbaugh Cassidy, 85, Plainfield, IN, died October 25, 2012.

She worked in retail for L S Ayres, also worked as a receptionist at Crestwood Village West Assisted Living.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, American Heart Association and Crestwood Village West Building #3.

Services will be private. Calling will be from 2-4 pm on Sunday, October 28, 2012 in the Club-Crestwood Village West and from 4-8 pm on Monday, October 29, 2012 in Conkle Funeral Home Avon Chapel.

She was preceded in death by husband, Robert L Cassidy. Survivors include sons, Gary (Eva) and Steve (Wayneen) Cassidy; daughter, Susie (Kevin) McEuen; step-daughter, Judy Allen; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Retired SMsgt William Loy Puterbaugh, 81, of North Charleston, husband of Gerta Simshauser Puterbaugh, passed away August 6, 2003, 2 pm, at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 7113 Rivers Ave, North Charleston, with full military honors, burial to follow in Carolina Memorial Park.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a gathering at the Elms Club House immediately following the burial.

Born October 15, 1921, in Piqua, Ohio, he was the son of the late Henry Loy Puterbaugh and the late Lemae (***Zelma***) Poole Puterbaugh.

Mr Puterbaugh was a 30 year retired Air Force Senior Master Sergeant having served during WW II. He was also a retired Chief Warrant Officer with the US Air Force Reserve.

Mr Puterbaugh was of the Protestant faith, a member of the Flying Tigers association, and the NCO Club (Charleston).

Survivors include: his wife, Greta Simshauser Puterbaugh of North Charleston, one son, Larry H Puterbaugh and his wife Jerri of North Charleston, one sister, Harriet Cassidy of Indianapolis, Ind, two half-brothers, Robert Puterbaugh of Lunenburg, Mass, James Monroe Puterbaugh, Orlando, Fla, one grandchild, Amber Lynne Puterbaugh, one great-grandson Michael Keith Amerson. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Hospice of Charleston, 3870 Leeds Ave, Suite 101, North Charleston, SC 29405.
