Clarence N. Webb, Jr. (Junny) of Bronte, loving husband, father, and grandfather went to be with the Lord, Saturday, September 9, 2017 at the Bronte Health and Rehab Center at the age of 87.
Junny was born on December 17, 1929 in San Angelo to Clarence and Lanora Webb. He graduated from Bronte High School in 1946 then attended San Angelo College. He served two years in the 8221st Army Unit during the Korean War. He married the love of his life, Jane Powell, on December 22, 1956. They lived in a number of places while he surveyed for oil companies before settling back in Bronte in 1969. He remained there as a rancher and driller in the oil field until his retirement. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bronte.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Delano (Bubby) Webb and Roderick (Dinker) Webb; and an infant son.
Junny is survived by his wife of 60 years, Jane; their three children, Lana Webb of San Angelo, Shane Webb and wife Alisa of Bronte and Kelly Barnett and husband Kris of Anderson, SC; six grandchildren, Joel Webb and wife Rebecca of Ballinger, Cheyenne Thomas and husband Garrett of Snyder and Kenzie, Karsen, Noah, and Kassie Barnett of Anderson, SC; four great grandchildren, Addalyn and Luke Webb of Ballinger and Gage and Grayde Thomas of Snyder; one brother, Joel (Sonny) Webb and wife Della of Roswell, NM; sister-in-law, Suzy McMaster and husband, Bill, of Abilene, and Kay Daulong and husband, Stanley of Bronte; along with other family members and friends. Honorary pallbearers include Ralph Dunklin, LeDrew Arrott, Lee Daulong, Jim Hughes, Lane Hughes, Ladd Hughes, Steve Webb and Gary Webb.
Graveside services officiated by Dr. Kris Barnett will be held at Fairview Cemetery in Bronte at 11:00 am on Wednesday, September 13, 2017. Services are under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home/Sherwood Way.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Bronte Health and Rehab Center.
