"Peter McBride and I sent to the Gila at Pima, Arizona for some of our families, so Elizabeth Ann Gale and Laura McBride came to Carrolitos, Mexico. They were the first Mormon women to colonize in Mexico and were allowed free pass over the border on the 16th day of February, 1885."
