OBITUARY - MRS. FREDERICK W. BENJAMIN
The death of Mrs. Gladys Lillian Pierce Benjamin, 42, wife of Frederick W. Benjamin, occurred Friday at her home in Preston following six weeks' illness. Mrs. Benjamin was born in Stonington, May 1, 1903, daughter of Charles H. and Anna Breed Pierce.
She was a member of the Preston City Congregational church, the Preston City grange and the auxiliary of the Preston fire department.
Surviving are her husband, four children. Winifred Edna, Carl Alfred, Ruth Irene and Ray Irving Benjamin, all of Preston; two brothers, Leon F. Pierce of Lebanon and Clifford R. Pierce of North Franklin and two sisters, Mrs. John R. Browning and Mrs. Raymond Muttart, both of Norwich.
Mrs. Benjamin was endowed with a most pleasing disposition and she was highly regarded by all those who enjoyed her friendship. Her many friends learned of her death with profound sorrow and extend their heartfelt sympathies of the surviving relatives.
