Mr. Cole, born to Elmer and Edith Seifer Cole, was a World War II Veteran who served as a Staff Sergeant in the U. S. Army from 1942 to 1945. He was an expert jeweler and watch repairman and a proud member of the Freemasons for 52 years. He first became a Mason in 1954 in Eureka, KS, and later joined the Masonic Lodge in Lindsburg, KS, where he served as Master of the lodge in 1964. He became a member of the Masonic Lodge in Brighton in 1987, where he served as Chaplain from 1987 through 1989. In 1990 he was elected to the office of Lodge secretary and served until he died. He was preceded by his wife Dorothy Cole and his son-in-law Harold Cozart. He was survived by daughter Barbara Cole Cozart of Valdosta, GA; brother Arnold Cole and wife Dorothy of Longboat Key, FL; three grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. Graveside services held November 15 at Staging Area "A".
