Clark Miland Draper

Clark Miland Draper passed away on September 8, 2017 at home after battling a painful and debilitating illness for many years. He was surrounded by his family.

Clark was born November 26, 1946 in West Virginia to Miland and Iris Draper. He spent his early childhood years in Riverdale, Utah until the family moved to Nyssa, Oregon where he grew up with his 7 siblings. He graduated from Nyssa high school in 1965. During the next 2 years of 1966 to 1968, he served in the Spanish American mission in Texas where he learned to speak Spanish. It was here that he gained a testimony of Jesus Christ that motivated him throughout his life.

On August 16, 1969 he married Vicki Fowers. They made their first home in Ogden, Utah where he attended Weber State College. They moved to Meridian, Idaho in 1973 where Clark began growing his family and his own business building and excavating. Together they raised their children and taught them honesty and hard work. The family moved to Nampa, Idaho in 1978. Here their family grew from 9 children to 26 grandchildren and a great grandchild who is due to arrive in February. The happiest times of his life were spent living, working, laughing, eating Mexican food and barbecuing with his family and friends.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at 10 a.m. at the LDS church located at 88 S. Happy Valley road in Nampa. A viewing will be held on the same day starting at 9:00 a.m. Internment will take place at the Valley View Cemetery in Vale, Oregon.
