Audrey is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, two daughters and a son; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Audrey served in the Navy during World War II, and was stationed at Guam. He was a local merchant. He served as the Pollocksville Fire Chief for 23 years. He served on the Pollocksville Town Board for 25 years and was president and treasurer of the Pollocksville Cemetery Committee for 23 years.
Audrey was a devoted member of the Gideons International for more than 20 years. He loved Pollocksville United Methodist Church and has served it faithfully.
His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 9 at Pollocksville United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends and family from 9:30 - 10:45 a.m. prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow immediately afterwards at Pollocksville Cemetery.
