He was a lifelong resident of the Chelyan are. He was a retired chemical operator from Du Pont, Belle with 32 years' services. He was a member of Cabin Creek Presbyterian Church.
Surviving: wife, Thelma Ball; sons, Jim of Spotsylvania, Va., Andy of Hurrican, Larry of Kingport, Tenn.; daughters, Mary Lou Baker of Spotsylvania, Diana Mills of Beckley, Mabel Hollingsworth of Cabin Creek; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Pryor Funeral Home, East Bank with the Rev. Dennis Gill and the Rev. Jim Tinkerton officiating. Burial will be in Montgomery Memorial Park.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
