Janette was a daughter of Willie Lamar & Betty Sue Cole.
She was one of five sisters placing their roots in Trumann, Arkansas. Janette married the love of her life William (Bill) Jones September 2, 1976 in Bell County, Texas. She traveled the world as a proud Army wife and mother of two loving daughters Shannon Jones and Christina (Christy) Jones. Leading by example to trust in God, work hard and help others. Moving to Middlesboro, KY Janette continued to be active in church, where she taught children's Sunday school for many years. She worked at the Social Security Administrative office for many years being of service to the community and becoming lifelong friends with her co-workers. She deeply loved her work family and enjoyed the many visits from them. Special friends Jane Patterson and Sherry Lindsey. The light of Janette's (Giggy's) life was her very special grandsons Austin & Colton Jones. She dedicated her life to giving them all the love and opportunities possible. To say she is proud of them does not give the feelings justice. Janette enjoyed praying, cooking, gardening, and taking pictures. Not an event went by that she didn't have a camera in her hand. Capturing other people's happiness to create memories for them brought her great joy.
Janette continued to wear her Armor of God for over the past two and half years battling cancer with dignity and grace. Her unwavering faith allowed her to live out the verse "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" "Philippians 4:13.
Janette was united in Heaven with her beloved parents Willie & Betty Cole, grandparents Lloyd & Edith LaFarlette, grandparents Willie & Verra Cole, uncles Sherman & Jimmy LaFarlette, and aunt Evelyn Coker.
Left to carry her spirit is her loving husband of 41 fabulous years is U.S. Army First Sergeant (Retired) William (Bill) Jones, loving daughters Shannon Jones & Christina(Christy) Jones, very special grandsons Austin Jones & Colton Jones. As well as her mother in law Pearl D. Jones and brother in law, Danny Jones and son Jacob all of Middlesboro, KY and daughter Lisa Goodin of Pineville, KY. Brother in law Buck Jones (SooShe), and his daughters Stephanie, Desiree, Natalie, and Valery.
