Rhonda M. Walters, 45, of Lumberton, N.C., died March 24, 2016, at her home after an extended illness.
She was born Nov. 20, 1970, in Robeson County, a daughter of Bruce and Wanda Allen Walters.
Rhonda was a 1989 graduate of Littlefield High School and a former teacher assistant. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church, on Old Whiteville Road.
The funeral will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday from the Antioch Baptist Church, at 5089 Old Whiteville Road, Lumberton, the Rev. Mark Meadows officiating. Burial will follow in the Meadowbrook Cemetery.
Rhonda is survived by her parents, Bruce and Wanda Allen Walters of the home; her maternal grandmother, Mary L. Allen of Lumberton; a cousin, Diane Wilkins of Lumberton; a maternal aunt and husband, Pam and Richard Townsend; four paternal uncles and wives, Tony and Joyce Walters, Joe and Linda Walters, Phil and Diane Walters; and David and Robin Walters.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Melanie Dawn Walters; her paternal grandparents, Nell and Richard Walters; her maternal grandfather, Harvey Charles Allen; and her maternal aunt, Charlene Allen.
The family will receive friends one before the service at Antioch Baptist Church, 5089 Old Whiteville Road, and at other times at the home.
