YORK- Robert Green Yancey, Jr., 82 passed away Friday August 11, 2017 at York Hospital.

Born on January 26, 1935 in Cumberland, MD; He was the son of the late Robert Green, and Mary P. (Jones) Yancey. He retired from Caterpillar of York.

Robert is survived by a son, Robert Green Yancey, III and his wife Sandy of York; a daughter, Michelle S. Flinchbaugh and her husband Shane of York; a granddaughter, Nichole Warman and her husband Nicholas of York; and a great-granddaughter, Liliana Warman; and two sisters, Sue S. Brewer of Wilmington, NC and Olivia Sheehan of Auckwand, New Zealand.

Robert was a member of the Hawks Gunning Club of York, he loved his animals, NASCAR, traveling, music, trains, and he really enjoyed the life he got to live. He served in the U.S. Army Reserves.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the ALS Association, 117 North Market Street, Hatfield, PA 19440 or to The Community Animal Hospital, 400 South Pine Street, York, PA 17403.
