Jay Carlos Bradley, 86, of Waverly, Kansas, passed away Saturday, September 9, 2017, at the Olathe Hospice House.

He was born on April 23, 1931 at Garnett, Kansas, to William Burton and Clara Jane Clayball Bradley.

He grew up in Waverly, and graduated from Waverly High School in the Class of 1949.

On December 23, 1951, he was married to Opal Joy Hunter at the United Methodist Church in Garnett. They would be the parents of six children. Opal died on March 17, 2017.

Jay was a farmer. He also had owned and operated a tree cutting business. He was antique dealer for over 50 years.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Opal, two brothers, Junior and Gail Bradley, and by a son-in-law, Steve Brown.

He is survived by his daughters, Brenda Brown of Garnett, and Jayne Thompson and husband Randy of Waverly, his sons, Terry and wife Bobbi, Randy and wife Linda, Burton and Timothy Bradley, all of Waverly, 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren, many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, September 13, 2017, at the Jones Funeral Home in Burlington. Burial will follow at Waverly Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday evening, at the funeral home.
