Mark Lewis Burrell, 21, husband of Eva Elizabeth Capps Burrell, of 128 Burrell Drive, Tamassee, SC, died Thursday, March 8, 2007. Born in Valhalla, NY, Mr. Burrell was raised in Oconee County. He was the son of Randall Joseph and Mary Ellen Galloway Burrell. He was employed in masonry and worked with Jeff Addis and John Tilson and Johnson Controls and attended Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. Mr. Burrell was active in the #343 Robotics Team and was class salutatorian. In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Burrell is survived by: brothers, Ricky Murphy of Ebenezer, SC, Keith Murphy of Oakway, SC, Lee Murphy of Salem, SC, Thomas Murphy of the home; sisters, Rhonda Addis of Salem, SC, Marlene Martin of Oakway, SC, Darlene Tilson of Salem, SC. Mr. Burrell is also survived by ten nieces and nephews. Mr. Burrell was predeceased by grandparents, Rev. Vearl and Hazel Burrell; and Curry and Maybell Galloway; and uncles, Howard Burrell, James Galloway and Elwood Owens. Funeral services will be conducted at 4:00 PM, Sunday, March 11, 2007, from Mt. Carmel Baptist Church #2, Tamassee, SC, with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
