Mr. Bagwell was born November 27, 1931 in Elberton, GA to Oren Martin "O.M." Bagwell and Sara Anne Bell Bagwell. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Elberton.
Mr. Bagwell served his country in the U.S. Army and retired from the U.S. Army Reserve Center in Clemson, SC.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years: Bobbie Leona Wilson Bagwell; daughters: Alesia (Darren) Taylor of Warner Robbins, GA and Jennifer Bagwell of Blue Ridge, GA; three grandchildren: Chelsea, Jessica, Aaron; and three great-grandchildren: Carter, Evelyn and Cohen.
Funeral services to celebrate his life will be held 2PM, Sunday, September 10 in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with Rev. Kenny Martin officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park
