Emélie was baptised October 4, 1884 in Cap Pelé, the daughter of Paul Landry and Célina Lirette / Lorette.

She married 1st to Abel Joseph Boudreau on September 21, 1902 and they had 16 children. He died May 4, 1959 in Amherst, Nova Scotia.

Her 2nd marriage was to John Charles Gallant on November 16, 1963 and he died in Amherst NS on January 26, 1970.
