Obituary for Willie Adams:
23 Aug 1928 Taney County Republican
After a valiant fight of about four years duration Willie H. Adams succumbed to the wishes of man’s deadliest enemy, tuburaniosis, passing out of this life late Tuesday evening. He died at his home at Kissee Mills, to which he recently moved from Forsyth. Since the first attack he has moved in the West two different times endeavoring to regain his health, last nothing could stop it.
He is survived by his widow, and four children, Argus, Cletus, Willa Jean and Billie May; parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Adams, five brother, Charlie of Spokane, Washington, Arthur, Emmett, Wilson and Quincy of this place and three sisters, Lizzie Mackey of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Sally Denny and Alta Hicks of Seymour, Missouri and a host of other relatives. All were here for his funeral except Charley and Mrs. Denny.
Funeral services were held at the home. Rev. U. G. Johnson conducted the services. Burial was made by the Odd Fellow, with the Masonic order in attendances.
This paper extend sympathy to the bereaved, for they have been a dearly loved number of dear family and Taney county Has lost one of her most holly and highly respected citizens.
