American Actor. Heron will best be remembered for his starring role in 1996's, 'Shiloh', portraying an adolescent who rescues an abused hunting dog in a small town. He made his film debut in the 1995 Disney film 'Tom and Huck', and went on to appear in such films as 'Wind River' (2000), 'We Were Soldiers' (2002), 'Dandelion' (2004) and 'Benjamin Troubles' (2015). Among television shows and made-for-TV movies he appeared in were 'Picket Fences', 'Reality Check', 'Cybill', 'Nick Freno: Licensed Teacher', 'Good vs. Evil', 'The Practice', 'Boston Public', 'Don't Look Back' and 'Andersonville'. Heron had battled heroin addiction for a number of years and openly talked about it while promoting the 2017 documentary 'A Thousand Junkies', for which he collaborated with two other recovering addicts.
