Florence Lawrence (Armstrong) 90, passed away peacefully in her home Sunday September 3, 2017. Florence was born September 14, 1926 in Central Idaho.

As a young woman, she worked as a telephone operator, love to dance and being with her family and friends. Her life was centered in service to others and unconditional love to everyone she would meet.

She met her eternal companion Vance Lawrence in Boise, Idaho, while he was serving in the United States Air Force. After leaving the military, Vance and Florence moved to Grants Pass with her brother Deloy Armstrong and his family.
Florence's life continued to be centered around her Christ like love for all and served in many church callings, which included Relief Society president, Primary president, Sunday School teacher and chorister, working with primary children for over thirty years. She loved researching her family's genealogy and worked in the Genealogy Library many years helping others trace their family roots. She played piano in a dance band with her husband Vance and brother Deloy.

Funeral services will be held Saturday Sept. 16, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the L.D.S. Church on Savage Street in Grants Pass, Oregon.

The family will meet with friends on Saturday at 12:00 Noon prior to services at the church. Interment will be in Hawthorne Memorial Gardens.

Funeral arrangements are under the care of Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapel, 510 N. 12th Ave. Pocatello, Idaho.
