Do not stand at my grave and weep I am not there, I do not sleep, I am a thousand winds that blow I am the diamond glint on snow I am the sunlight on ripened grain I am the autumn rain. When you awake in the morning bush I am the swift uplifting rush a bird circling in flight. I am the stars that shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and weep, I am not there, I do not sleep.- Author Unknown

Loving brother, father figure, role model, hard worker, compassionate friend and dedicated believer are all terms that describe Benjamin.
Benjamin Eli White was born February 17, 1963 in Star Hill, LA. As the ninth child to the late Phillip and Martha White, he was raised surrounded by his siblings Beverly, Ruth, Phillip, Earl, Willie, Samuel, Martha and James.
As a child Benjamin was loving, caring, and a peacemaker to his family. As the baby of the family he thought he was the boss and constantly tried to take charge; a trait that he carried into adulthood. Growing up Benjamin could be found in the kitchen with his mother helping with the cooking where he discovered his love for the culinary. Growing up he attended school in East Baton Rouge Parish where he excelled academically and graduated high school with honors; followed by attending Southern University.
As a young man Benjamin began working at a local grocery store, but little did he know that he would go on to have a long thriving career in the grocery industry. Over the years with hard work and dedication he became a successful deli manager. Benjamin’s love for people and his enthusiastic personality allowed him to soar in this role. He was not only a manger but became a mentor and role model to all of those who worked with him. Although he was committed to his work, Benjamin never lost his dream for catering and throughout his life you could always find him hosting gatherings for family and friends. This was his opportunity to show off his culinary skills.
Benjamin had a deep love for Christ and made the decision to be baptized at an early age by the late Rev Joseph Carter of Star Hill Baptist Church. Benjamin was a long time member of Rising Star Missionary Baptist Church (Denver, CO) under the leadership of Rev. Jules E Smith where he frequently volunteered with the food bank as well faithfully serving on the repast committee. He later moved his membership to Overflow Full Gospel Church under the leadership of Rev. Reginald M. Taylor (Aurora, CO). His faith never wavered and he believed that God was in everything he did. He never stepped away from God and knew everything he went through was to make him stronger.
He departed this life on September 6, 2017 at Parker Adventist Hospital. Benjamin would want to be remembered as a loving family man that always put his family first in everything he did. Benjamin will always be remembered as loving, encouraging and supportive. The youth will always remember Benjamin for his enduring and comforting hugs, as others will remember him for his contagious smile and kind hearted spirit.
"To know Benjamin was to love him and he will be truly and dearly missed."
He was preceded in death by his Mother, Father, and Brother (Earl Jacob White Sr). Benjamin White is survived by his three is sisters, Beverly Bolden (Aurora,CO), Ruth Thomas (Virginia Beach, VA) and Martha White (Aurora,CO). His four brothers, Phillip Thomas (Baton Rouge, LA), Willie White (Francies), Samuel White (Etta) and James White and a devoted sister in law Diana H. White (all of Aurora, CO).
