Donna Jeanine (Brown) Sparks, 84, died peacefully in her sleep, Monday, September 4, 2017. She was born February 17, 1933 in Des Moines to Zean A. and Nora E. (O'Donnell) Brown and graduated from St. Joseph's Academy in 1951.

In 1952, Donna married Richard Lee Sparks Sr. (1932-1996) and to this union seven children were born. Dick and Donna lived almost their entire lives in Spring Hill.

She is survived by children, Rick (Sandy) Sparks of New Virginia, Deb (Lynn) Larsen of Mitchellville and Diane Beery of Marshalltown. Also surviving are her sisters, Geri Bixler and Sandy Allingham; sisters-in-law, Elma, Jean and Jan Sparks; 15 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, and one great-great grandson. She was preceeded in death by her parents, husband Dick, children Dan, Joe, Brenda, and Dennis, and brothers-in-law Dave, Gary, and Bill Sparks and John Bixler. As per her wishes, Donna was cremated. A Graveside service will be held 1 p.m., Thursday, September 14 at Webb Cemetery, rural Norwalk.
