Janis Morgan, of Liberty, passed away at 4:35AM on Thursday, September 7, 2017, at the Liberty Care Center. She was 74.
Born February 9, 1943, in Casey Co., KY, she was a daughter of the late J.L. and Mabel Sharp Emerson. She was a former employee of Jim Dandy’s Grocery, The Five and Dime Shop, and Liberty Sportswear/Osh Gosh.
Mrs. Morgan was preceded in death by her husband, George Wilbert Morgan. He passed away on February 10, 2016.
Survivors include her daughter, Annette (and Troy) Brockman of Danville; brothers, Jerald (and Iva Dean) Emerson, Tony (and Judy) Emerson, and David (and Angie) Emerson, all of Liberty; sister, Donna (and David) Price of Liberty; and a grandson, Jackson.
Funeral services will be at 11:00AM Monday, September 11, 2017, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Johnny Maupin officiating. Burial will follow in the Willow Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8PM on Sunday at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.
