Corey D. Humphrey, age 27, passed away September 24, 2015. Cremation will take place. Family and Friends will gather in the sanctuary of Northridge Chapel, 12401 North Ridge Rd., Plymouth, Michigan 48170, on Friday, October 2, 2015 at 5:00 PM, Pastor Wayne Kurtycz, Officiating. "Mariah" Corey Deshawn Humphrey was born on July 8, 2015 to the loving parents of Lonnie McLawyer and Sonia Humphrey. Corey was a vibrant and outgoing child and always wanted to be free. Corey lived his life as and wanted to be known as "Mariah". She attended Southfield Lathrup High and later in her years traveled the world. Mariah had a pure natured spirit and a sweet soul: always willing to help anyone in need. Throughout her journey in life, she loved fashion, music and had a great sense of humor. She will be greatly missed by her friends and family. She gave us hope and courage and reminded us of the preciousness of life. Preceded her in death is two grandfathers Mr. Felix T. Humphrey II, Mr. Lonnie McLawyer, and one uncle Mr. Felix Humphrey JR. She leaves to cherish two loving parents Mr. Lonnie McLawyer and Ms. Sonia Humphrey, one brother Lonnie Mclawyer JR., two grandmothers Mrs. Ruby Humphrey and Mrs. Barbara McLawyer, eight aunts Sophia, Nadia, Felicia, Chelo and Maxine, Tanya, Kawanna and Shawanna eight uncles Mark, James, Samuel, Deedario, Bobbie, Shawn, Derrick and John and a host of other family and friends.
