Ms. Hayes, born in Randolph County, was the daughter of the late Henry Clay Hayes and Nora Evans Hayes.
She was a retiree of the Commonwealth Hosiery Mill in Randleman. Minnie enjoyed her many years of retirement doing whatever she felt like doing.
She was a faithful member of Harshaw Grove Missionary Baptist Church where she served as the President of the Gospel Choir for over forty years. She also was a member of the Senior Missionary Circle, Pastor's Aide, Usher Board, Mime Ministry and was one of the original Golden Girls of Harshaw Grove.
She is survived by three children, Bruce A. Hayes of the home; Sylvia H. Monroe (Bernard) of Charlotte, NC; and James R. Hayes of Greensboro, NC; two grandchildren; four great grandchildren; a brother, Henry A, Hayes (Lois); a sister, Mary E. Thigpen (Raleoigh) and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
