Norfolk - Floyd James, Sr. transitioned on Sept. 4, 2017. Floyd was born to late Ely and Meta James on Aug. 3, 1930 in Windsor, NC. Floyd Sr, was employed for over 30 years with the Norfolk Naval Air Station where he was an engineer.
Floyd, Sr. leaves to cherish his memories, children: Janis, Floyd, Jr., Curtis (Denise), Anglo Accilien and Vonda W. Ayers (Larry), four sisters; Annie Bell, Emma, Meta, and Mary; and two brothers, Solomon (Mary), and David (Julia); and a host of grandchildren, great-children, relatives and friends.
A service will be held 1:00 p.m. on Friday in the chapel of Hale Funeral Home with interment at Calvary Cemetery. www.halefuneralhome.com
