Our precious Mother, Anna Belle Fields went home to be with her Lord and Savior
on Monday, September 4, 2017 at home surrounded by her loving family.
Anna was born in Scott County, VA on February 7, 1935 and was the daughter of
the late Elbert and Cornelia (Dinsmore) Wallen.
In addition to her parents, the love of her life, her husband, Joe Jackson
Fields (2015), an infant son Mark Fields, and her sister, Joyce Ball preceded
her in death.
She was a loving stay-at-home Mom to her 7 children. Her prayer was that the
Lord would allow her to live to see all of her children grown, which he
answered.
She is survived by her sons, Michael Fields and Sharon, Yuma, VA, Stacy Fields
and wife, Alison, Gate City, VA; daughters, Donna Calhoun and husband, R.S.,
Yuma, VA, Debra Easterling and husband, David, Nickelsville, VA, Marsha Shelton
and husband, Hagan, Yuma, VA, Sharon Hall and husband, Craig, Nickelsville, VA,
and Kimberly Counts and husband, Richard, Gate City, VA; grandchildren, Lori
Calhoun, Tammy Culbertson, Barry Calhoun, Nicholas Vaughn, Natasha Robinson,
Courtney Counts, and Tanner, Tyler, and Tucker Fields; great grandchildren,
Zachary Culbertson, Michael and Connor Calhoun, Sydney and Cortlynn Vaughn, and
Kasey and Kylie Robinson; sisters-in-law, Lillie Fields and Shirley Fields;
step-sister, Glenda Baines, Fall Branch, TN and step-brother, David Jones and
wife, Debra, Kingsport, TN; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family will receive friends from 5:00p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Thursday, September
7, 2017 at the Gate City Funeral Home and other times at her residence. Funeral
services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel. At
her request, her son, Michael Fields and Rev. Gary Hunley will officiate; and
her daughter and son-in-law, Debra and David Easterling will provide the music.
Graveside Service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 8, 2017 at
Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA. Family and friends will serve as
pallbearers.
Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:15 a.m., Friday
to go in procession to the graveside service.
