Carol S. Gold, 76, loving daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother passed away Wednesday, September 6, 2017. Carol was born in Durant, Oklahoma to Pauline and Sidney Segal. Carol attended the University of Oklahoma and the University of Houston. Carol met the love of her life, the late Alan Gold, shortly after attending U of H. They had a wonderful marriage of 54 years and enjoyed spending time together in Beaver Creek, Co. Carol graciously volunteered at MD Anderson Cancer Center Mays Clinic for 10 years. Carol is survived by children, Julie & Kevin Diamond, Terri and Adam Zoblotsky; grandchildren Sidney and Jordan Diamond; nieces Barrie Burstyn and Staci Mankoff; and countless, lifelong friends, that were like family. Carol and the family wish to express their deepest thanks to Dr. Daniel Booser, Dr. Susan McGovern, and the other wonderful doctors and nurses who oversaw Carol’s care at MD Anderson Cancer Center. The family also wishes to thank Carol’s caregivers, Connie Cienfuegos, Tania Cardenias, and Vilma Morales, who provided the utmost support and kindness.
