SCHAEFFER, NANCY
(nee Cox), of Cadbury, Cherry Hill, formerly of Delanco. Age 95 years.
Passed away March 7, 2007, at Cadbury. She was a native of Raeford, NC and resident of Delanco for over 50 years.
Nancy was a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Before she was married she worked as a Dietician for Cooper Hospital, Camden, where she met her husband Dr. Alan M. Schaeffer. She was an active member of the First Presbytrian Church of Delanco, Women of the Church and Past Treasurer of the Memorial Fund for many years. Nancy was a member of the Zurburgg Memorial Hospital Ladies Auxiliary, Riverside, and the Delanco Senior Citizens Club. She enjoyed her Bridge group, liked needle point and was an avid reader.
Wife of the late Alan M. Schaeffer, MD. Mother of Susan L. Schaeffer of Cinnaminson and Stephen C. Schaefer and wife Sandy Brown of Hopewell and grandmother of Peter M. Hogan and fiancee Lauren Wall of Philadelphia, Matthew Lyons of Cinnaminson and Hallie and Jake Schaeffer both of Hopewell.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to Nancy's funeral service 11:00 AM Monday at the First Presbyterian Church of Delanco,505 Union Ave. (corner of Vine), Delanco. Interment Lakeview Memorial Park, Cinnaminson.
