MAN, 77 DIES AFTER HIS MOTORCYCLE COLLIDES WITH PICKUP IN GREENE.

A 77-year old Turner man died Saturday after his motorcycle collided with a pickup truck in Greene, Maine State Police said.

The crash took place on the North River Road, at the intersection with Church Hill Road, when the pickup pulled out of a parking lot and into the path of the motorcycle, said Steve McCausland, spokesman for the Maine Department of Public Safety.

He said the motorcyclist, Richard Bean, died at Central Maine Medical Center. The truck was operated by Richard Sherwood, 40, of South Portland, who was also taken to the Lewiston hospital with minor injuries.

Bean was wearing a helmet, McCausland said.
