A funeral service for Eddie Joe Wilson, 58, of Woodlawn will be held at 2:00p.m., Friday, September 08, 2017 in the chapel of Downs Funeral Home with Bro. Scott Seeley and Bro. Pete Sellers officiating. Interment will follow the service in Center Cemetery, Harleton, Texas. Visitation with family and friends will take place Thursday, September 07, 2017 from 6:00p.m. – 8:00p.m. at Downs Funeral Home. Mr. Wilson passed away Tuesday, September 05, 2017 at his home in Woodlawn.
Eddie Joe Wilson was born December 04, 1958 to Albert James and Ollie Belle Wilson in Marshall, Texas. As young child Eddie developed a passion for music that would continue to grow throughout his life. He had a talent for writing and singing original music. He enjoyed singing at and attending services at Nesbitt Baptist Church.
Eddie Joe married the love of his life, Crystal Daigre in 1983. They spent the next 33 years loving and caring for one another. Eddie Joe lost his wife May 13, 2016 and rejoined her in heaven on September 05, 2017.
Eddie Joe Wilson is survived by his daughters, Jennifer Guffey and husband Lonnie, Desiree Wilson, and Amanda Wilson; grandchildren, Ashton, Lexi, Layla, Gentry, Lauren, Madison, Brooklyn, Jersey, Maci, and Trey; brother, Ronnie Wilson and wife, Becky; sisters, Clarissa Griffin and husband, Bobby, and Jimmie Faye Scogins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Ollie Wilson; wife, Crystal Wilson; and sister, Regina Sellers.
