Rebecca L. Reese (nee Gunderman), 52, of Pilesgrove and formerly of Upper Deerfield Township was called home to be with the Lord early Wednesday morning May 18, 2005 at her residence.

The daughter of Werner and Frances (nee Perri) Gunderman of Whiting, N.J., she was born in Elmer and had lived at her current address for four years. She formerly lived on Old Deerfield Pike in Upper Deerfield Township in a home that was built by her and her late husband, William R. Reese, who died in 1997.

Mrs. Reese was a graduate of Millville High School and received her college education at Glassboro State College (now Rowan). She was a certified librarian and also had her teaching certificate. For the past several years, she was the school librarian at Cherry Street School in Bridgeton.

She was a member of the Gloucester County Community Church. In addition, she loved bowling and was a member of the winter league at Pike Lanes in Bridgeton where she bowled in the Thursday night Top Select League as a member of the Ron DuBois Hauling team. During the summer months she bowled at Wood Lanes in Woodstown in the Tuesday league on the "Our Gang" team. She was also a fan of Nextel Racing and enjoyed going to the Bridgeport Speedway. Rebecca was a member of the Timmy Iulg Race Team and Tony Stewart was her favorite driver. She loved her dog, Shaggy, and enjoyed her gardening and eating tomatoes from her garden and growing flowers.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by one son, Troy M. Reese at home, one sister, Audrey Garton and her husband James and their children, Chrissy and Brian all of Kansas. She is also survived by her "special friend," Kenny Schmidt of Hopewell Township.

Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 11 o'clock at the Gloucester County Community Church, 359 Chapel Heights Road in Sewell. The church's pastor and assistant pastor, Pastor Bruce Sofia and Pastor Debra Groller will officiate.
