John Christopher Traylor, 58, of Watersound, Florida, passed away on September 4, 2017.

He was born on October 16, 1958, in Frankfort, Kentucky, to Dr. and Mrs. Orba Forest Traylor. John grew up in Huntsville, Alabama. He was a graduate of the University of Alabama and member of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity. He went on to earn post-graduate degrees from Florida Institute of Technology and the United States Army War College. John retired as a Colonel from the United States Army Reserve and Global Quality Manager from Air Products and Chemicals.

John is preceded in death by his parents and brother Robert.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia “Bebe”; children Forest and Anna (Evan); brother Joe (Margi) and nephew Ben (Jody), and many family members and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Friday at 2 p.m. in the St. Thomas by the Sea Episcopal Church, Panama City Beach, FL. There will be a reception following the service in the church’s fellowship hall. Private family interment will be in the Greenwood Cemetery.
