Jimmy attended Weber State College as a machinist. He married Darma Neeley 29 Nov 1947 in Evanston, Wyoming. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple on 28 Jun 1959. They just celebrated their 68th Anniversary. They are parents of six wonderful children....the favorite being the youngest boy.
Jimmy proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. This tour of duty took him to Ogden, Utah where he met his sweetheart Darma.
He worked at Johnson Auto, Chic Armerature and Hill Air Force Base as a machinist for 26 years retiring in 1989.
He was an avid golfer and loved to golf with the boys. He also loved bowling and gardening, especially growing tomatoes.
He was a devoted member of the LDS Church. He served in many capacities over the years, most recently as the 2nd Counselor in the Bishopric. He was a member or the Monte Vista Ward in Roy, Utah. He was called with his wife Darma to a Service Mission at the Ogden Cannery from2006-2008.
Jimmy had a great love for his Savior. He had a strong testimony of the Gospel. He taught his children to work and respect others. He dearly loved his family. He was always helping others. He always kept his word. He was a man with great integrity.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Virginia Scott and Joquita Cosper.
