Imogene Thompson Brown, 87, of Westwood, died peacefully Saturday, Sept. 2, 2017 at her home, with her daughters at her bedside.
Imogene was born May 9, 1930, in Carter County, a daughter of the late Harry and Molly Hicks Thompson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Brown; three sons, Carl Fannin, Jimmy Fannin and Rob Brown; and a grandson, Brandon Fannin.
Imogene is survived by three daughters, Sandra Marcum of Westwood, Teresa Pierce and husband Frank of Ashland and Paula Robinson and husband Randy of Ashland; two stepsons, Thomas Brown DMD and wife Freda of North Carolina and Paul Eddie Brown and wife Peggy of Lexington; a stepdaughter, Loretta Payne of Ashland; two sisters, Delores Rice of Grayson and Shirley Flaugher and husband Garland of Willard; a special sister-in-law, Aunt Billie Brown of Ashland; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2017, at Preston Family Funeral Home by Pastor Jim Webster. Burial will be in Dixon Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
