Virginia "Ginger" Cushman
64, Indianapolis, left for her heavenly home on December 6, 2011 after a lengthy illness. She was born October 22, 1947 in Covington, KY to Edward and Clarice Cushman who preceded her in death. A brother, Jack Cushman, is also deceased. Tabby, Sheba and Princess, who were her "children" will be buried with her.
In her twenties, Ginger was a fashion model and worked at the Pentagon. She worked for the government most of her life. At one time, she left the government for two years, moved to California with her brother Mike, and worked as Mickey Rooney's secretary. She retired in July, 2010.
She is survived by her brother, Micheal Cushman of Orlando, FL; and a sister and brother-in-law, George and Kathleen Smart of Marysville, OH. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, Kenneth (Debbie) Jackson of Overland Park, KS; Richard (Debra) Jackson of Anthem, AZ; Jeffrey (Pamela) Jackson of Woodinville, WA, and, Erick and Brad Cushman, Grant and Micheal Cushman, Jennifer Jackson and her partner, Christina Roush of Grove City, OH. Great nieces and nephews are Richard and Josh Jackson; Anya and Alex Absten; Heather, Brianna, and Michaela Jackson; and Jordyn and Amanda Jackson.
